Friday!

We leave the south island today, a week today we start the trip home. Bugger!
Over 100 views yesterday, Germany, S Korea are still there but we now have Canada. UAE is there, I assume that's Jim and co. The rest is a complete puzzle.

Today was a bit dull!!!

Today we got up and went on a trip on a boat, it was quite dull for a little while and then!!!

What a day. We are now having a beer. Perfect!

The Pacific Ocean and a seal!

We dipped our feet in the Pacific Ocean for the first time yesterday. The seal's did not seem that bothered to see us. Off watching whales to day and then up to Picton. Hopefully we will have whale pictures to put on tonight.

All time high!!

125 hits to the blog yesterday, that is a record. Hope you are all well, cause we are. Managed to get everyone up and about and we are going to have a stroll down town this afternoon. Henry there are loads of sheepy things here, you would be very excited!! This country could have been made for you. Vee and Nic are going to have a look around the shops, should take about 15 mins and I think Sid and I may have a beer. They sell the dark stuff down here!.

Kaikoura

Yesterday afternoon we arrived in Kaikoura, we had a little party in our apartment and someone is hungover this morning and does not want to get out of bed. I on the other hand have been up and strolled around the small town and had a breakfast. The breakfast was so large I could not finish it, glad I did not order the big boy's breakfast!!! Nearly 100 hits yesterday, made up for the 47 on Sunday. Come on you lot. Mind you we still don't know who is watching as we only get a few comments. It's those people in USA, S. Korea and  Germany that puzzle me. Must have crap TV.

Christchurch!

Today we called in at Christchurch, we all thought how sad it was that the city had been flattened. But the people of Christchurch had brushed themselves down and started again. Where the shopping mall had been there were port-a-cabins that formed the shopping centre. It was quite poignant.
The people of Christchurch should be applauded.
PS Vee wrote this blog.

DAVID LLOYD

Mr Lloyd must be so proud to have bumped into us!

Funny coloured water around here!!

Passed these lakes on route to the east coast, crap init'

The East Coast, Queenstown is behind us!

This morning we packed our bags and left Queenstown, we all agreed it was just the best place, great views and countryside. Amazing.
So we traveled to the east coast and are currently about two hours south of Christchurch. We saw some fine  sights as we wandered across country. Today I cannot upload any pics as the internet connection is to slow. Hopefully we will have a better connection tomorrow. We had 80 hits to the blog  on Saturday and 70 on Sunday, it is still early on Monday with you lot so I cannot comment  for today. Strangely 3 views from USA a couple from South Korea. Are we that interesting.

Update on Monty

It has been agreed that it was Monty and KP. Therefore Vee and I had drinks with some of the English team (not that they knew much about it), yesterday we bumped into David Lloyd and had a little chat, seems a nice fella. Sid has the photo, we will post it later. We are the jet set!!!

Milford Sound

What a place, a bit scary to get to but worth it. Not looking forward to leaving the Queenstown area at all.

Today we went to Milford Sound on a very small plane!!!

This is doing nothing in Queenstown

This is the view from when we stopped for a pint!

Is this Monty (English spin bowler), if so this afternoon Vee and I had drinks with Monty and KP. (There were 2 other blokes but I did not know them). Can anybody confirm that it is Monty???

Took this on the stroll back. Us doing nothing in Queenstown!!!!

Queenstown

Today is Saturday (we think), Vee and I strolled down to Queenstown. This is the view from our apartment. It is fantastic. We do not intend to do much today.
